Finally, a pumpkin drink that doesn’t make me feel like I need to run 34 miles to burn it off! If there’s one thing I love saving more than money, it’s saving calories. Luckily, this homemade PSL lets me do both. Let’s take a look at the calorie comparison, shall we?
Laugh it up, peppermint. You’ll be next. Sincerely, pumpkin spice.
Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte
Pumpkin Spice Protein Smoothie
Half the calories, double the protein. BOOM. (Also, can you believe S-bux has 50 grams of SUGAR in one drink? Insane.) I love this shake for a post-workout snack or afternoon pick-me-up. And anything that tastes/smells/looks like October makes my Fall-loving heart skip a beat. (Sidenote: do they make pumpkin spice shampoo and conditioner? Because I need it.)
Mix up your own, don’t share and enjoy! (Wearing flannel and Ugg boots optional.)
- ½ cup almond milk
- ½ cup pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling)
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- ½ tsp pumpkin pie spice
- ¼ tsp of cinnamon
- 5 ice cubes
- Mix all the ingredients into a blender, and blend! (Obviously.) Garnish wish a dash of cinnamon on top.
